Research on the Transfer of the Control Systems of the Empires and the Changes of the Relations of Asia-Europe and USA

I have studied the matters regarding the Transfer of the Control Systems of Empires with the four investigators with the help of the three professors of foreign Universities - B.R.Tomlinson (University of London), N.White (Liverpool John Moores University), and A.Rotter (Colgate University) - and three Japanese co-operators - H.Kan (Kyushu University), O.Yoshida(Hiroshima University) and I.Yamaguchi(Kyoto University) from 2002/03 to 2005/06.We organized the international workshop to discuss the themes such as hegemony, the developing and ending process of British Empire, the interruption of United States of America to Asia and the reconstruction of new international order in Asia toward the post World War II at Tohoku - Gakuin University and The Sendai International Center on 1~2 November 2003. After the fruitful meetings, we printed the report of 'the End of Empires and the Transition of Hegemony in the Asia and Pacific Areas'. And then we organized the international symposium of ‘the End of Empires and the Reconstruction of the International Order - Anglo American Collaboration about Asia' at the 54^<th> Conference of Japanese Occidental History Academy on 21 May 2004.We have also researched and collected the materials and records about them at the University Libraries and National Archives at home and abroad and had many meetings to discuss the effects of our researches each year. I organized the symposium of ‘British Empire and Japanese Empire in the East Asia' to discuss the theme which we could not bite on well, at the Tohoku seminar of The Socio Economic History Academy on 17 December 2005.Finally, we could publish the book of ‘the End of Empires and United States of America - the Reconstruction of the New International Order in Asia' ed.by Shoichi Watanabe with the help of Yamakawa Shuppansha Ltd. in May 2006.
