鎌倉期文献の中から、諸領域にまたがるもの、鎌倉期及びそれ以前に代表的古典として受容されて流布したもの、享受史上重要なもの、享受の過程で各時代による受容・変容が顕著なものなどを中心に、それらの継受と展開についての研究成果をとりまとめた。1.鎌倉期における中世最大の私撰集『夫木和歌抄』を主たる研究対象として取り上げた。『夫木抄』は類題集であるが、様々な領域に深く関わる巨大な撰集であるが、これまで『夫木抄』自体の継受と展開については殆ど検討されていなかった。これまでの共同研究会の成果を集約し、論文篇・資料篇から成る『夫木和歌抄編 纂と享受』を刊行した。この中には、田渕・齋藤・小川・久保木4名すべてが執筆しており、本研究の研究成果の一部の反映であり、本研究における最も大きな成果である。4名の論文のほか、本研究による文献調査研究を集約して、『夫木和歌抄』の享受史年表、重要な伝本の影印・解題・翻刻をも付載した。2.鎌倉期の勅撰集の代表として『新古今和歌集』を取り上げて調査研究し、成立に関する新たな論を公刊するとともに、享受と展開を探るため、版本マイクロ資料解題を作成してとりまとめた。3.平安期に成立し鎌倉期以降物語文学の代表として享受された『源氏物語』および『伊勢物語』の享受を調査研究し、『源氏物語』桐壼についての論を公刊した。また『伊勢物語』の享受を総体的に把握するため、国文学研究資料館蔵のマイクロフィルムによって、絵入り版本の集成を行った。4.鎌倉期の日記文学の代表として、『十六夜日記』を取り上げた。古典作品は、多くが中世から近世にかけて変容し、その時代の価値観と読者層にあわせて、本文が変えら流たり、改作されたりしている。『十六夜日記』を題材に、その変容の背景と論理について、分析・検討を行った。5.その他として、鎌倉時代から室町時代にかけての物語文学・仏教文学・古典学・学芸および学問に関する研究を横断的に行った。
