项目摘要

2006年8月27日から9月7日、中国山西・陜西省(山西省:永済、河津、稷山、新絳、万栄、禹門、陜西省:韓城、〓陽、西安)で調査を行った。その目的は(1)中国河東地方の地形調査(2)宋・金・元代碑刻史料調査である。(1)に関して、文書行政がどのような環境・現実下で行われたのかが大きな問題点としてあり、現地でのフィールドワークを遂行し「文書行政」という言葉の裏に存在した現実を確認し、文書行政・地理環境・行政区画の関係を考察した。(2)に関して、従来10〜13世紀に勃興した王朝は「南流」(北宋-南宋-元朝)と「北流」(北宋-金朝-元朝)とに分断され別個の歴史世界として考察されてきた。本研究では北宋に広域区画路が地方統治の要となり中央の王朝交代に揺るがない地方行政体制が形成され、その結果が「南流」と「北流」双方の前提となったことを挙げ、分断された歴史世界を共通の次元で考察する視座を得た。しかし、金元代は文献史料が少なく、またそれを補う石刻史料も清朝金石学において等閑視されているため、この調査により「北流」世界の考察のための基礎的研究を進めた。また、制度史的観点から宋代の広域行政区画を考察した成果は、2006年8月23日に中国上海で開催された国際学会で発表する機会を得、海外の研究者から多くの意見を聞くことができた。2007年1月4日から11日、中国河南省(鄭州市・新郷市・滑県・登封県)で調査を行った。目的は黄河周辺の地理的環境と宋代行政区画との相関の調査である。この地域は宋代には黄河河道において最も狭隘な地形で、黄河の氾濫が頻発し河道の変化も度々起こった。そのため所属する行政区画(路)は度々変更された。また、滑州を巡り、堤防決壊時という緊急時における行政手続きが議論されている。その地域に実際に赴き、文書処理という行政手続き問題の根に当地の地理的環境という具体的な現実問題が存在したことを確認した。
