本研究では,日本在住の外国人を対象にインタビュー調査と質問紙調査を行い,双方の調査結果を往還しながら,彼らのエスニック・アイデンティティの形成過程を明らかにすることを試みた。これにより,エスニック・アイデンティティが自他の相互主観性のせめぎ合いの中で社会的に構築される実体として浮き彫りにされ,エスニック・アイデンティティの既定要因としての個人内要因と社会的要因の特定,および,これらの要因の相互関連性が明らかにされた。

In this research, an in-situ survey and a questionnaire survey were conducted on foreigners living in Japan. The results of the surveys on both sides are still in the past, and the formation process of their interests is clearly explained. In this case, the essential factors of the individual's internal factors and the essential factors of the society's specific factors are specified, and the essential factors of the interaction between them are clearly defined.
