Study of Presentation and Management for the Educational Materials in the Science-Experiment Microworld

The aim of this project is to develop a management system for the educational materials in the Microworid. Reuse of educational materials in a CAI system, is important to develop and maintain the system. Our system which can dynamically compose the objects visualized on the screen and program it, we have developed the CAI system which can re-edit the educational materials freely. On the contrary, developing a management function is important for the CAI system which has a lot of flexibility. We have therefore developed educational materials, and developed a management system for our CAI system, too.In this study, (1) we developed a pool of educational materials in which we can use them through a trial and error. We developed how to make codes from the structure of objects of educational materials and how to manage them using the codes. Educational materials consist of plural codes and we can register them with the codes to the pool. (2) When the users (learners or teachers) use the educational materials in the pool, the correlative educational materials are assigned to near.We considered the method to categorize the educational materials in the pool by codes, to visualize them. We developed user interfaces which are able to use seamlessly, on using and management of educational materials. We examined the design of our system to use easily, as the layout, number and size of educational materials.
