・引き続き,被差別部落出身者,ハンセン病病歴者およびその家族,トランスジェンダー,レズビアン,中国帰国者といったインビジブル・マイノリティの聞き取り調査を重ねた。さらに,ハンセン病療養所をフィールドワークし,当事者との関係の構築を図ってきた。・蘭由岐子『病の経験を聞き取る』(2004年)以降,社会学の文脈では,ハンセン病病歴者の姿が隔離政策の「被害者」としてのみ描かれることが批判され,彼ら/彼女らの「生活者」としての姿をとらえるべきだという主張がなされてきた。しかしながら,ともするとそれは,被害を訴える病歴者と,国に感謝する病歴者とを,対立的に位置づけることにつながった。「隔離政策の被害を訴える」語りと,「国に感謝する」語りが,じつは,両方とも隔離政策の力によって生み出されていること。同様に,園内での堕胎について,「意志に反して堕胎させられた」という語りと,「みずから進んで堕胎した」という語りがあるが,これも,両方とも,優性政策の力の強さを示すものであることを,語りの分析によって示した。・群馬県にある国立ハンセン病療養所・栗生楽泉園の入所者自治会が中心となって作成される『栗生楽泉園入所者証言集』編集委員会の一員として,8月から原稿作成作業に専心してきた。これには,ぜんぶで51人の入所者の証言,および,家族や園の元職員らの証言が掲載される予定である。入所者の平均寿命が80歳を超えた現在,これだけの数の当事者の語りを記録できることは,今後はそうそうないことであり,貴重な歴史的資料をつくる営みに参画できた。わたしも編者のひとりであるこの証言集は,2009年夏は出版予定である。
