医療を定常的に提供するサプライチェーンとして大学附属病院の機能を捉え、教育・研究機能も包含した運営実態・運営論理のモニタリング法として(1)タイムスタディを基盤とする病院内業務把握法、(2)保健医療情報データベースを基盤とする地域社会における医療貢献把握法を研究した。(1)ではOn-Demand 連続タイムスタディ法、看護・医療需要に基づく調査票法、動画差分処理によるビデオモニタリング法、ビジネスモデリング法およびそれと時間情報を組み合わせたタイムプロセススタディ法を開発した。(2)では患者動態モデル、地域医療需要把握・予測モデル、医療提供力モニタリングモデルを開発した。
