项目摘要

「幼児とのふれ合い体験学習」について幼稚園・保育所側から見た意義として、保護者の不適切な子どもとのかかわりが増加していると実感して保育現場としては、近い将来に親になる世代である中・高生が幼児とふれ合う体験の場を提供することにより、幼児理解を促して「将来の親」に対する「子育て支援」となると捉えていることがうかがえた。親になるために必要な適性として「幼児の要求や感情の表出を理解し、応じようとすること(共感的応答性)」が重要であるとの認識のもとに、その発達と影響要因について探った結果、幼児の発達に関する知識を身に付けていることや親になることを肯定的に捉えていることが、共感的応答性を高めることが明らかとなった。さらに、家庭科の「幼児とのふれ合い体験学習」を含む保育学習の前後を比較した結果、共感的応答性は幼児への関心と幼児の発達に関する知識の両方が上昇した場合に大きく上昇することが明らかとなり、男子中学生の得点は低いが、学習後に幼児への関心および幼児の発達に関する知識が上昇したことから、すべての生徒が学習する家庭科の保育学習の有効性を示唆しているといえるだろう。
