open book分解に基づく3次元多様体上の葉層構造と接触構造の強い意味で凸性を破るクラスの構成、open book分解などの場合の接触構造の葉層構造への収束の良いことの証明、収束と(強擬)凸性の伝播の関連、3次元多様体上の接触構造とその4次元シンプレクティック充填の重要な例の構成、4次元多様に埋め込まれた曲面の2次元葉層のコンパクト葉としての実現問題の解決と応用、など、3, 4次元多様体上の葉層構造、接触構造、シンプレクティック構造を中心とした幾何学的な結果を得た。
