项目摘要

本研究の目的は、小児がん等のターミナル期にある子どもの教育・看護・医療に関する情報を収集し、各専門家との連携を図りながら適切な教育的対応の在り方と教育課程について、国際比較研究を行うことにある。既に関係のあるオーストラリア、イタリア、スウェーデン、アメリカ合衆国、ドイツの海外の協力者と連携を図りながら、日本の状況とあわせ情報収集及び日本において「小児がん等のターミナル期における教育・看護・医療に関する国際フォーラム」を行った。我が国では、院内学級・特別支援学校(病弱)における教育は、特別支援教育の範疇にあり「自立活動」が学習指導要領の「自立活動の心理的な安定」の中に教育内容が示されている。オーストラリア、スウェーデン、イタリアにおいては、病院内学校は特別支援教育の範疇には入らず、日本、ドイツ、アメリカ合衆国は特別支援教育の範疇であった。いずれの国、病院においても医療者等とのトータルケアの体制が基本にあり、他職種との協働の上で教育的支援が行われていた。そして、国によって、教育課程の編成には違いはみられたが、共通することは、子どもの特別な教育的ニーズに従って,教師との関係性を重視した上で個別教育計画等により教育内容・方法が決定されていたことである。
