本研究のもっとも大きな成果は「非定家本『拾遺和歌集』について」である。『拾遺集』の伝本のうち、六条藤家の清輔が校訂した清輔本は散逸している。そこで清輔が校訂した『古今集』に有るペリテクストのうち、『拾遺集』との重複を示すものを抽出、歌数を同定し、本文異同についても検討した。その結果、1.散逸した清輔本『拾遺集』は定家本に比べて『古今集』との重複が極めて少ないこと、2.非定家本系統の「異本」と清輔本との関係性は希薄であること、3.伝慈円筆拾遺集切と、復元される清輔本とが関係を有すること、4.定家本『拾遺和歌集』にある「季本」に基づくペリテクストが、散逸した清輔本と深い関係にある六条藤家の証本にもとづくものであり、定家本のペリテクストを調査し直す必要性がある、という四点を指摘した。ペリテクストに関する研究成果として、4月以降刊行「定家本古今集証本をめぐって(仮)」もある。二条家における『古今和歌集』の証本と、冷泉家における『古今和歌集』の証本を比較し、ペリテクストの多寡と、その用い方の比較から、両家がとった戦術の差異と、証本をめぐる類型行動を明らかにした。そのほかには、古筆切を調査する過程において気がついた諸点を報告した。第一に「伝公敦筆古今集注切について」では、用字法や書式に着目し、当該古筆切が、これまで孤本であった内閣文庫蔵本の親本そのものである可能性がきわめて高いことを指摘した。第二に「伝為忠筆勅撰集切をめぐって」では、奥書切のある伝為忠筆勅撰集切を中心におき、為忠の奥書を有する完本との関係を踏まえて、為忠の書写活動全体をとらえる試みを行った。なお、本研究は本来であれば三年間で完成するものであったが、所属機関の変更により初年度で廃止とせざるをえなくなったことを記しておく。
