We explored the nature of the Faculty of Language (FL) from the viewpoints of adult linguistic knowledge, its acquisition and use, linguistic variations, and historical changes, and constructed its model. It has become clear both theoretically and empirically that we need to consider the nature of pragmatic and processing modules as well in constructing such a model.

本文从成人语言知识、语言习得和使用、语言变异和历史变迁等方面探讨了语言系的本质，并构建了语言系的模型。无论从理论上还是从实证上都表明，在构建这样一个模型时，我们需要考虑语用模块和处理模块的性质。
