Discussion of the relationship between climatic variation and completed suicides

1998年，日本的自杀人数急剧上升，近年来这一趋势仍在继续。因此，必须立即执行减少自杀的既定预防措施。本研究对自杀死亡率高低的市町村和都道府县的自杀既遂率与气候因素的关系进行了统计分析，并对自杀率的季节性变化进行了分析。必须在区域和国家一级讨论自杀趋势，必须审查自杀的各种因素，必须考虑值得密切关注的气候变化。

The number of suicides in Japan rose sharply in 1998, and that trend has continued in recent years. Accordingly, established prevention measures to reduce suicides must be promptly implemented. The current study statistically examined the effects of climatic factors on completed suicides in municipalities and Japanese prefectures with high and low rates of deaths due to suicide, and this study also examined seasonal variations in suicides. Suicide trends must be discussed at the regional level and at the national level, various factors for suicides must be examined, and climatic variations that warrant closer attention must be taken into account.
