英文摘要
To examine the functions of epidermal-type fatty acid binding protein (E-FABP) in the oral squamous cell carcinoma, we first analyzed the primary cultured keratinocytes isolated from E-FABP-deficient mice. As a result, we found that incorporation of linoleic acid into the cells was lowered by 30 % compared with wild-type cells, and that the cell-adhesion was significantly impaired in the E-FABP-deficient cells. Next, we immunohisotochemically examined the localization of E-FABP in the human SCC specimen, and found that E-FABP preferentially localized to the nuclei and cytoplasm of non-mitotic cell. The analyses of the cell line (HSC3 : human squamous cell cartinoma 3) over-expressing human E-FABP are underway especially focusing on its contribution to cell proliferation and differentiation.
