STUDIES ON THE MEDICAL TREATMENT ENVIRONMENT FOR ELDERLY DEMENTIA PATIENTS OF PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITALS

From 2008, I have worked on research targeting psychiatric hospitals. Up until 2011, I conducted research with elderly dementia patients in dementia wards of psychiatric hospitals as a subject of research. It became clear that the dementia wards of psychiatric hospitals should think of fulfilling a function that allows settling patient conditions through short-term treatments as their main point, and after treatment patients should be relocated to living facilities such as group homes, after which support in forms such as housing diagnoses are desirable.
