项目摘要

本研究の目的は、中国貴州省のプイ族や漢族を対象としたフィールドワークと理論的探求を通して、歌掛けの人類学の構築の三つのステップである「ミクロな次元」(言語や旋律)、「中間的な次元」(コミュニケーションやパフォーマンス)、「マクロな次元」(社会の生産・再生産)を明らかにし、最終的にこの三つのステップのつながりを総合的に解明することである。本年度は4月に中国の歌掛け研究の比較対象として、秋田県横手市で行われている歌掛け「金澤八幡宮伝統掛唄」の社会的状況および基本的な歌われ方について、前年度の調査に基づき学会で発表した。その後、8月にラ・トローブ大学言語類型論研究所を訪れ、歌の言語学的研究について議論を深め、プイ語の歌掛けに見られる韻律構造について分析を進め、その成果をセミナーで発表した。中間的な次元については、歌掛けのコミュニケーション構造について分析を進め、とりわけプイ語で行われる歌掛けが、日常会話では隠されている文脈情報を言明していくことで成り立っているという重要な特徴が明らかとなった。これについては社会言語科学会で発表し、分析の元になった一次資料についても整理して論文の形で出版した。また、本研究における調査の他分野への連携として前年度行ったプイ語および中国語の味言葉調査結果について、言語学会などで発表した。さらに、マクロな次元に関しては、感覚論から歌掛けの社会的位置づけについて考察し、論文として発表した。本研究の最終的な考察については、三つの次元を総合する視点として遊び論を見いだし、こうした成果を現在博士論文としてまとめているところである。歌掛けについてはこれまで多角的に研究されたことはなく、本研究は歌掛けを総合的に捉えた嚆矢であり、人間のコミュニケーション研究に新たな光を投げかけた点で重要な意義を持つと考えられる。
