In this research, I am focusing on nursing in the Edo period to examine how families of the Edo period tried to protect the lives of mothers and infants. As a result, it became clear to me that nursingwas crucial both to people who wished to maintain/sustain their family lines (Ie) and to clans (Han) who wished to reproduce the population. Focusing on nursing provided me an opportunity to view environments that surrounded the life more closely, which shed light on how people in the Edo period tried to protect the lives of mothers and infants.

本研究以江户时代的看护为中心，探讨江户时代的家庭如何保护母亲和婴儿的生命。因此，我清楚地认识到，护理对那些希望维持家庭血统的人（即）和希望繁殖人口的氏族（汉族）都至关重要。关注护理让我有机会更近距离地观察生活周围的环境，这有助于了解江户时代的人们如何保护母亲和婴儿的生命。
