项目摘要

平成24年度は、研究成果の公表に重点をおいた。まず平成23年度より調査を行なってきた、日本占領下シンガポールにおいてプロパガンダ活動に携わった従軍「文化人」について、ソウル大学校におけるワークショップ、シンガポール国立大学アジア研究所主催のセミナー、アジア教育史学会大会において口頭発表を行った。さらに戦前にまで射程を広げ、図像によるプロパガンダの思想的起源を探る調査も行い、その成果の一部は日本植民地教育史研究会第27回定例研究会において口頭発表を行った。その内容については、研究報告書『日本植民地・占領地教科書と「新教育」に関する総合的研究』所収の論文にまとめた。第二に、音楽を用いたプロパガンダについても考察をさらに深め、第22回アジア歴史学者会議における口頭発表でその成果を発表した。同時に、音楽プロパガンダの思想的・政策的背景についての考察も進め、共著『グローバリゼーション再審:新しい公共性の獲得に向けて』(時潮社)所収の論文「「大東亜文化建設」と「日本音楽」-第二次世界大戦期における音楽プロパガンダ構想についての一考察-」においてその成果を発表した。その他の媒体によるプロパガンダについては、第9回国際日本語教育・日本研究シンポジウム(香港)における口頭発表において、「桃太郎」を題材とした演劇を取り上げた。以上の各論に加え、本研究の前提となる日本占領下シンガポールにおける教育事情について、学校リスト並びにその解題として研究報告書『旧外地の学校に関する研究-1945年を境とする連続・非連続-』にまとめた。平成24年度はシンガポールについての考察結果の公表に重点を置いたため、日本占領下香港についてはその研究結果を十分に世に問うことができなかったが、研究の前提となる香港における日本研究の動向について、『一橋大学国際教育センター紀要』にまとめた。
