Roles of versican in development and maintenance of hair follicles

Verscan(Vcan)是一种大的硫酸软骨素蛋白多糖，存在于细胞外基质中，在软骨原基和真皮乳头等间充质凝聚区瞬时表达。本研究旨在探讨Vcan在毛囊发育和维持中的作用。虽然我们将表达cre的腺病毒皮内注射到Vcan&lt；FLOX/FLOX&GT；小鼠体内，但不能阻断其在毛乳头细胞中的表达。目前，我们正计划培育在真皮乳头中缺乏Vcan表达的Corin-cre；Vcan&lt；Flox/Flox&gt；小鼠。

Versican (Vcan) is a large chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan of the extracellular matrix, which is transiently expressed in mesenchymal condensation areas such as cartilage primordium and dermal papilla. Here, we aimed to investigate the role of Vcan in development and maintenance of hair follicles. Though we performed intradermal injection of adenovirus expressing cre into Vcan<flox/flox> mice, we could not ablate its expression in dermal papilla cells. Currently, we are planning to generate Corin-cre; Vcan<flox/flox> mice, which lack Vcan expression in dermal papillae.
