项目摘要

採用3年目である本年度（2016年度）の課題は、前年度課題のうち達成できなかった課題を補完するとともに、北清事変、日露戦争を対象に事例分析を行なうことであった。そのために、（１）日清戦争における日本人従軍記者への対応に関する分析の継続、（２）北清事変・日露戦争を対象に新聞史料、公文書、および関係者の私文書を利用した個別事例分析を行ない、加えて（３）日清戦争以降に戦争報道に従事して死亡した記者への追悼・慰霊・顕彰行事を分析した。（１）新聞資料、及び朝日新聞大阪本社社史編修センターでの資料調査で得た資料を利用することで、前年度行なった公文書にもとづく分析を補完した。（２）前年度までと同様、政府・陸海軍諸機関における新聞記者、およびその他の従軍者への対応を、『外務省記録』『陸軍省大日記』を主な史料として検討した。本年度は初期の時点で主な分析対象紙を東京・大阪の両朝日新聞に決定し、適宜別紙を参照するかたちをとった。北清事変に関する成果の一部は来年度中に学会で報告する予定である。なお、前述の朝日新聞社の資料については、調査日が年度の後半となってしまったこと、収集できた資料が予想以上に膨大であったことから、現時点ではすべての分析を完了できていない。そのため、（１）で示した課題以外の部分には反映できてはいないが、今年度までの成果を発表する際には組み込んでいきたい。（３）本年度の研究計画作成時点では想定していなかった課題である。死亡者への対応は、従軍記者（及び戦争報道に従事した関係者）に対する政府・軍事関係機関・社会の認識変化を通時的に把握でき、本研究にとって重要な検討対象であると考えたため、本研究の一部に組み込むこととした。成果のうち日清戦争に従軍した記者の死亡事例については、本年度の国史学会例会で報告し、全時期を通じた分析結果については次年度中の学会誌投稿を目指している。

At the beginning of the year, the main analysis paper was published in Tokyo and Osaka, and the appropriate paper was published in Japan. The results of the North China Institute of Technology are scheduled for the next year. The Asahi Shimbun's data was collected in the second half of the year on the survey date, and the analysis was completed at the current point. The results of this year's project are reflected in the report. (3) When the research plan for this year is prepared, the topic is determined. This study is part of a series of studies on the relationship between government, military, and society.
