誤情報持続効果（continued influence of effect of misinformation）とは，誤情報の誤りを指摘する訂正情報を知った後も，誤情報を信じ続け，その影響を受け続ける心理現象である。誤情報持続効果は，訂正情報に視覚的注意を払っていても，訂正情報を記憶していても生じる。このことは，手元のICT端末に有益な訂正情報が受信・表示されているにもかかわらず，それがユーザーの意思決定および行動変容につながらない可能性を示唆する。誤情報が社会にもたらす影響を制御するためには，誤情報持続効果が生じるより高次の認知プロセスを解明し，それらを考慮した介入手法を確立することが求められる。本研究は，ユーザーの認知と情報デザインとのインタラクションの観点から，これまでに蓄積されてきた心理学的知見を活かしつつ，ICT環境での誤情報の認知メカニズムの解明および誤情報持続効果緩和のための介入手法の検討に取り組むことを目的としたものである。２年目である2022年度は，オンライン環境で訂正情報にアクセスする場合に通常訂正情報が呈示される前に当該リンクをクリックするプロセスがあることに着目し，信じている誤情報に対する訂正情報にアクセスするためのリンクを選択的に避けることがあるのかという仮説を検証する実験を実施した。独自に考案したクリック回避行動分析指標を用いて分析した結果，43％が信じている誤情報を訂正する情報にアクセスするためのリンクのクリックを選択的に回避する傾向があることが示された。実験結果は，ヒューマン・コンピュータ・インタラクションの国際学会CHI2023に投稿し，フルペーパーとして採択された。
