项目摘要

本課題研究は17K03028（課題番号）に続く研究内容を扱うものである。本研究の目的は、アジア非英語圏（日本を含む）で増加しつつあるEMI(English Medium-Instruction、英語を媒介とする授業)に焦点をあて、（１）日本人学生と外国人学生の英語および現地語の言語習得やコミュニケーション活動の実態を把握し、また（２）EMIプログラム卒業生への調査を実施することによって、仕事で求められている言語使用とカリキュラムとの連関を分析し、ELFの視点から言語教育への政策提言を行うことである。本年度についても、前半はコロナ禍の影響によりフィールドワークが制限され、その代替手段としてZoom等を利用したオンラインでのインタビュー、学会発表等を行った。年度後半には一部渡航制限が緩和され、タイ、シンガポールにおいて現地調査、インタビュー調査等が可能となった。この間、昨年度収録した録音データの文字化、ディスコース分析、録画データのコンテント分析に加え、過去のデータの整理、分析も行った。本研究に関連する出版物として、Language Policy and Planning in Asia Vol. 1, Vol. 2, Vol. 3, Vol.4 (eds. Satoshi Miyazaki and Masakazu Iino, SAGE Publishing)を刊行、また、学会発表に関して、SS (Sociolinguistic Symposium)24，ELF１３（Taiwan）、The 4th & 5th ELF SIG International Workshops等で研究発表を行った。なお、本課題研究は、科研（基盤（Ｂ）、研究代表者村田久美子）と関連を持ち実施された。
