Core A provides the cohesion to the Program Project by providing a common administrative structure. This Core is essential for cementing the individual Projects into a true program. Functions of the core are divided into two general areas. First, the Core assists the P.I. in administration of the Program by organizing all program related events. These include the monthly Project Leaders meeting, the yearly retreat for all key personnel and the Program-sponsored seminar series. Second, the core provides database support for managing all Program-related data and facilitating data sharing among Program members and with the broader scientific community.
