This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The purpose of this study is to study why children with burns develop large amounts of fat in their liver, and high levels of sugar in their blood. 2 new drugs (Propranolo and fenofibrate) will be tested to see if they can help correct these problems. The entire study will be performed at the Shriners Hospital with the exception of the MRI. The MRI will be used to measure the amount of fat inside the leg and the liver following the various treatments
