英文摘要
Immunoassays are widely used in research and in diagnostics to quantify proteins in various samples. As our understanding of biology and disease at the molecular level progresses, there is a growing demand for multiplexed molecular tests that can measure multiple parameters at once. Whereas for DNA microarrays and other technologies allow for advanced multiplexed analysis, multiplexed immunoassays in the form of antibody microarrays or bead assays remain expensive and unreliable due to cross-reactivity. We had identified a major reason for the lack of reliability of multiplexed immunoassay and proposed a novel technology and assay protocol that overcomes these issues; however the microarray spotting machinery required is expensive and needs to be operated during the assay, which is cumbersome and entails significant preparation.
