This research aims at smoothly transferring the MCCC technology from gasoline engine catalytic converter to diesel engine aftertreatment system. Multi-Chamber Catalytic Converter (MCCC), which is proposed, patented, and fully owned by Vida Holdings Corp. Ltd., is a modification to the current catalytic converter design. Studies for gasoline engines from Vida Holdings have shown its tangible advantages in the removal of NOx, manufacture cost reduction, and fuel economy improvement. While MCCC technology demonstrated above advantages in gasoline engines, its application in diesel engine aftertreatment system, which is much more complex than that of the gasoline one, still needs to be comprehensively studied.
