ChargeSpot Wireless Power Inc. is a Canadian startup specializing in wireless charging systems for mobile electronic devices. As an active member of Wireless Power Consortium, ChargeSpot is actively pursuing technical solutions for high-efficiency wireless charging of mobile devices. The explosive growth of the number of mobile devices mandates that the power of these devices be available perpetually and ubiquitously. Although information processed by mobile devices is available anywhere and anytime via mobile networks, the finite amount of electrical power carried by the battery of mobile devices has become a major bottleneck for the use of mobile devices. Recently wireless power transfer has been recognized as one of the viable techniques enabling 24/7 availability of power for mobile devices. Although wireless power transmission was first pioneered by Nikola Tesla 100 years ago, it is only until recent that wireless power transfer began to attract a great attention, largely attributive to the wide spread of mobile devices and the need for charging these devices.
