英文摘要
The use of Building Information Model (BIM) is gaining acceptance as a valuable tool to improve building design and construction. BIM is a complete representation of the building systems and components and is a powerful platform that includes information relevant to the efficient design of buildings. It has the potential of transferring building design information automatically to Building Energy Model (BEM) tools. Traditionally, BEM tools were mainly used during the later stages of the design process; however, their use for early design has shown great potential to improve energy efficiency in buildings. BIM offers the possibility of creating dynamic building models that could directly be transferred to BEM tools. There is a great necessity in the building industry to produce reliable BIM-based energy simulation through new programs and applicable methods to assist the energy-conscious decision process during the design phase. To address these issues, the objective of the proposed collaboration is to develop a work and data flow to link BIM to a BEM that allows detailed modeling of mechanical systems. The project will look at both interoperability issues and process mapping adapted to the current and emerging building design practices. This project will provide the basis to (1) develop a unique design concept based on an integrated and innovative approach; (2) improve the sustainable design process of building; and (3) integrate BIM and BEM to the building design process. In this context, Trailloop foresees the potential of developing the work and data flow to link BIM to a BEM that allows detailed modeling of mechanical systems in order to become a leader in this field. Currently, the expertise available is limited and Trailloop, by collaborating to this research project, aims at becoming a leader to improve the design of buildings. The results obtained throughout the project will be used to enhance the company practices around the BIM platform and BEM tools to improve the design of sustainable buildings and to integrate BIM and BEM to the building design process. This will benefit the Canadian market by developing
