H2Flow Equipment Inc. is an Ontario-based company that has developed a full treatment system, the TILT - MBBR (Complete Mix Moving Bed Bioreactor); a novel technology for the treatment of wastewater. Unlike conventional technologies the TILT - MBBR is a mobile system which is easy to transport, requires low maintenance and occupies a small footprint while still providing full treatment capabilities. The primary objective of this project is to optimize the operation and design parameters of the system at a pilot location and to evaluate the feasibility of this technology for the treatment of municipal wastewater. In order to meet these objectives weekly analysis covering a suite of wastewater quality parameters will be measured pre-treatment, throughout the treatment process, and post treatment. Modifications to the treatment system will be made as required and as identified through ongoing operations and data collection in order to optimize treatment capabilities. Results from this applied research will improve H2Flow's knowledge of their system, enhance their product and increase their technical credibility.
