The Centre for Advancement for Water and Wastewater Technologies (CAWT) at Fleming College, in Lindsay, Ontario, (an NSERC Technology Access Centre) is an internationally recognized research institute committed to excellence in water and wastewater applied research and education. Applied research services offered include proof of concept, performance measurement and third party verification, technology certifications, product and process applied research, engineering design, technology development, piloting and demonstration, and problem-solving. ****The CAWT has seen an increase in demand from partner companies for assistance in the development of advanced onsite wastewater treatment technologies in cold climates. The water sector is one of the most regulated industries in North America, so companies that are looking to expand globally or into other markets are often faced with adhering to strict standards and regulations. Because of the rigorous nature and specific requirements of the most sought after certifications, we currently cannot adequately help companies prepare their technologies for certification. The CAWT is proposing the acquisition of a centrifuge with a SCADA control system and an inline TSS probe that will provide us an opportunity to expand our capacity to assist our partners with their onsite wastewater treatment technologies. **********
