Development of an Advanced Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Measurement Tool for Municipal Infrastructure

Climate change is recognized internationally as a global concern and one that is growing. Municipalities have aresponsibility to mitigate climate change and plan infrastructure with careful consideration to it. GM BluePlanEngineering (GMBP) is an engineering/consulting firm that specializes in asset management and infrastructureplanning services for municipalities. The primary objective of this research project is to develop a tool thatGMBP will use to assist municipalities in making environmentally conscious decisions and reduce carbonfootprints for planned infrastructure construction projects. The developed tool will enable municipalities toaccurately determine greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the construction and rehabilitation of linearinfrastructure assets (roads, watermains, sewers). The results of this research project will not only provideGMBP with a unique service offering, it will allow municipalities to incorporate GHG emissions into theirinfrastructure planning decision making.
GM BluePlanEngineering(GMBP)是一家专门为市政当局提供资产管理和基础设施规划服务的工程/咨询公司。
