The demand for outdoor furniture has been on the rise and a growing body of evidence supports the substantial physical and mental benefits gained by their users. Outdoor site furniture, however, must be designed and built with modularity, sustainability, multi-functionality and affordability in mind to ensure their continuous, long-term utilization.****Maglin Site Furniture is a market leader in the design, manufacture and sale of premium outdoor site furniture. This includes benches, trash containers, bike racks, bollards, tables, chairs and more. They ship products across North America to colleges and universities, municipalities, corporate campuses, shopping centres, and hotels; simply anywhere that requires durable, high-end outdoor furniture.****Recently, Maglin began working on the development of a new modular 'sun-shade' system to create the perfect outdoor oasis for their current and future customers. As part of their long-term plan and received feedback from their clients, Maglin, in close collaboration with Lambton College, has decided to incorporate a modular, hybrid solar power-battery storage system into the design and manufacture of this new, innovative sun-shade system. Maglin in collaboration with Lambton College though this proposed project will develop a novel, extensible 'sun-shade' system equipped with a modular, upgradable solar-battery hybrid energy system. The system is designed with sustainability, upgradability, modularity, flexibility and efficiency in mind. ** ****
