RECYCL3D Inc., a Canadian company based in Waterloo, Ontario, was founded in 2015 to create lasting solutions for our world's environmental and waste problems. They specialize in transforming Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) plastic bottles into usable 3D printer filaments to produce tools for environmental good. ** ** The growing utilization of plastics in industrial and consumer applications, in combination with increasing consumer awareness surrounding solid waste recycling, has led to an increased demand for more practical ways to recycle materials, resins and products. Through the proposed project RECYCL3D is collaborating with Lambton College's Centre for Industrial Material Development and the Bluewater Technology Research Centre to develop a method to reuse recycled PET water bottles to develop a polymer with material properties suitable for 3D printing. The resulting product can be used in industries such as higher education, healthcare, consumer goods, industrial goods, and several others.**** The shared-value approach of RECYCL3D Inc. produces a long-lasting, authentic impact on our community and Canada including both economic and environmental benefits.
