Green Menu Inc., a Toronto-based company and producer of Cupanion products, spearheads a program called "Fill It Forward", which addresses the universal concern on the environmental impact of excessive use of plastic bottles by combining their "Fill It Forward" mobile application with Cupanion reusable water bottle and allow people to track their impact to water projects and the reduction of waste, emissions and ocean pollution. WIMTACH and Green Menu Inc. will collaborate to integrate Bluetooth technology with the mobile application that will allow communication between the mobile app and the Cupanion Water Bottle with passive RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) tags. This project will result in tracking the reuse frequency of products through passive RFID by communication with the app via Bluetooth technology and ultimately storing the data in the cloud without disrupting user's everyday routine and measure the impacts on the environment.
