英文摘要
Kel-Gor Limited is an industrial contractor headquartered in Sarnia, Ontario, incorporated in 1969. Kel-Gor Limited specializes in custom fabricating industrial process equipment including process piping, structural steel, pressure vessels, fired heaters, cracking furnaces, heat recovery units, modular process units, cold boxes, tanks, hoppers, stacks, ducts and more. The company also specializes in mechanical contracting, including construction and repair of industrial facilities together with oil refineries, chemical plants, industrial gas producers, oil and natural gas pipeline stations, power generating stations, pulp and paper plants, waste water treatment plants and more. Kel-Gor has identified that there are bottlenecks in efficiency posed by the manufacturing of large-scale tube or vessel products, and they require a more flexible workspace environment along with streamlined and automated product tracking of piping spools to subcontractors and shipping. Kel-Gor is partnering with Lambton College to optimize and develop automated solutions to Kel-Gor's manufacturing processes to improve process productivity and waste reduction. Lambton College's Bluewater Technology Access Centre's (BTAC) research team will work closely with the Kel-Gor team during the project. The success of the project will allow Kel-Gor to optimize manufacturing efficiency, utilize human resources more effectively and reduce costs to enable themselves to accept more projects, become more competitive and increase market share.
