This volume documents the persecution of Jews during the first two years of the erman occupation of Northern and Western Europe. It contains 330 documents from 40 archives that trace the situation of Jews in Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France from different perspectives. On the one hand, the edition can be understood as a memorial to the murdered Jews. On the other hand, it is both conceived as a scholarly edition and intended for an interested public. As such, it can be used for teaching purposes at university as well as at school.
