Regional Characteristics and Regional System of china in the first half of the 20th Century

1.本研究的目的是从现代化进程和银行制度发展进程的角度，厘清20世纪上半叶的地域性特征和地域性网络。中国的近代化是由各省军阀的领导所促成的。他们中的大多数都有在日本和其他国家学习的经历。因此，他们中的一些人试图使道路、交通和城市系统现代化。在此过程中，银行体系也实现了现代化。以传统商业集团为主的银行体系在民国解体后失去了原有的权力。特别是在20世纪20年代，国家和公共部门通过将华北和中部的主要城市中心联网而建立了现代金融体系，显示出新的现代化地区制度。

1.The aim of this research is to make clear the areal characteristics and areal network in the first half of 20th century from the view point of the process of modernization and the process of development of bank's system.2.The modernization of China was contributed by the leader of military cliques in each province. Most of them had experienced to study in Japan and other countries. So, some of them tried to modernize the road, traffic and urban systems.3.In these process, the banking system was also modernized. Main bank system origing to traditional commercial groups lost their power under the new Republic China. Modern financial systems were created by the nation and public sector by networking main urban centers in north and middle China, where showed the new modernized areal system, especially in 1920s.
