Coordination Funds

The Priority Program 1859 involves scholars from various disciplines and requires a high effort of coordination. It is essential that all members of the Program develop a common research agenda; that they agree on common theoretical and methodical problems; and that they can share the results of their empirical research with each other. An important component of the Priority Program is therefore continual exchange in the form of conferences, workshops, and tandem meetings. Moreover, we want to foster international cooperation and visibility by organizing panels at international conferences and by inviting renowned foreign scholars to Germany. Junior scholars can apply for shorter research fellowships at foreign academic institutions.
