项目摘要

本研究は「子どもを体罰から守るためにはどうすればいいのか?」を学術的「問い」とし，例え指導者が体罰を厭わない（子どものことを考えての体罰は許されると考える）人物であったとしても，そうした人物から子どもを守ることのできる環境，つまりは「体罰が行われにくい状況」を解明することにより，子どもを体罰から守るための具体的方略を提言することを目的としていた。研究1年目であった昨年は，公認スポーツ指導者資格を有する指導者158名を対象とした調査結果について分析を行った。その結果，指導者に対して勝利や競技能力の向上，人間形成などの結果や成果を求める「保護者からの期待」が，スポーツ指導者を体罰に駆り立てている可能性が窺われた。そこで研究2年目である本年は，指導者が保護者を中心とする周囲から受けている期待・プレッシャーの内容について検討することとした。公認スポーツ指導者資格を有し，高校生までの子どもを指導対象とするスポーツ指導者136名から，１）過去5年以内の体罰経験（暴力，暴言，威圧，しごき，セクシャルハラスメント）及び，２）保護者からの指導に対する期待及びプレッシャー（勝利，礼儀，楽しさ，技術・体力，協力・チームワーク，努力）について回答を得た。分析の結果，上野（2021）が行った研究と比較して，過去５年間に体罰を行った指導者の比率はわずかに減少していたが，未だ残存していた。また，保護者からの指導に対する期待の内，「礼儀」の指導に対する期待が指導者による「威圧」を助長することを示す結果が得られた。ただし本結果は，指導者から得られたデータに基づく分析結果であることから，来年度は保護者を対象に調査を実施し，実際に保護者がどのような期待を指導者に対して持っているのかについて検討していく予定である。
