项目摘要

本年度は，知覚の不均衡における相互理解過程を解明するために，視覚障害者の歩行訓練場面の相互行為分析を中心に実施した．まず，これまで歩行訓練場面において撮影した大量の映像データから，視覚障害者と晴眼者とのあいだで相互理解が達成される様子が見られる場面を抽出し，相互行為分析を行った．その結果，歩行訓練においては，歩行訓練士との相互行為をとおして視覚障害者が受動的あるいは能動的に対象物に触ることが，当該対象物についての多面的な知識を得ることを可能にしており，当該対象物をルート上のランドマークとして把握するための基盤となっていることがわかった．同時に，そうした触ることによる視覚障害者の環境把握のプロセスは，歩行訓練士との複感覚的な相互行為に支えられていることも示唆された．次に，上述した分析的知見を踏まえて，同様に触覚による環境把握が見られる場面を抽出し，データコレクションを行った．その結果，視覚障害者は，まず白杖で環境を把握することを試み，それが難しい場合やより詳細な探索が必要な場合に，手や足（足裏）を使ってより正確な環境把握を行っていることが示唆された．このような映像データを用いた相互行為の詳細な分析をとおして，特に触覚という知覚モダリティの特性に関する先行研究や理論的枠組みを整理することも必要であることが示唆された．そこで，国内外の触覚と相互行為に関する先行研究のレビューを重点的に行うとともに，触覚に関する最新の哲学的論考についても検討を行った．
