本研究は、金融危機後に不況が長期化するメカニズムを、動学的一般均衡モデルを用いて定量的に分析することが目的である。具体的には、金融危機が企業の金融機関からの借り入れに与える影響や、これを通じた経済の成長トレンドに与える影響を定式化し、マクロ経済データを用いて定量的に分析する。このような不況の長期化に関する定量的な研究は蓄積が浅いため、本研究による学術的・政策的な貢献が期待できる。2022年度の実績は以下のようにまとめられる。景気循環会計モデルに知的資本の蓄積を組み入れることにより、生産効率性の変動を短期的な要素と中期的な要素に分解した「中期景気循環会計(Medium Term Cycle Accounting)」の枠組みを定式化した。これにより、生産・消費・投資・労働投入量・そしてバンドパスフィルターで定義した生産の中期的なトレンドのデータを用いて、モデルから労働市場の歪み・投資市場の歪み・政府支出による歪み・短期的な生産効率性の歪み・中期的な生産効率性の歪みを推計し、これらの歪みをモデルに代入することにより、それぞれの景気循環に対する効果を計測した。また、短期的な変動に注目する際に、それぞれの歪みが知的資本蓄積に与える中期的な影響を用いてトレンド除去を行うことにより、既存研究では補足することができなかった理論モデルに整合的なトレンド除去済み景気循環会計が可能となることを示した。定量分析の結果、短期的な生産効率性の歪みがG7における世界金融危機時の景気悪化の主要因だったのに対し、中期的な生産効率性の歪みは世界金融危機後の中長期的な回復の主要因となっていることが明らかとなった。一方で、労働市場並びに投資市場の歪みが不況の長期化をもたらしたことが明らかとなった。
