1. An extention of the present system for measurement and processing of event-related potentials (ERPs) was done by adding a DMA data acquisition module in order to complete an on-line testing system with an ability of simultaneous control of verbal task loading and measurements of ERPs as well as reaction times (RTs).2. The system was used in preliminary clinical experiments on mormals as well as psychiatric patients with verbal disorders, especially schizophrenics to check problems in working the algorhisms and programs for generation of randome sequences, editing and filing of verbal/nonverbal stimulus data, loading of verbal tasks with binaural presentation, ERP processing, RT measurement, graphic displaying and filing of averaged ERPs, plotting RRPs as well as extracting and filing feature parameters, statistical processing of RTs, printing ERP/RT data, and off-line backup for measurements and filing of ERPs and RTs.3. Some trials were done on tranferring the processed files to a central computer for checking the discrimination program on normals and medicated/nonmedicated patients in order to examine the present system as an on-line station for testing abnormal verbal behavior.4. A neuro-synaptic model of bilateral auditory information processing was composed as well as a neuro-synaptic model of cerebral EEGs and ERPs in order to analyze the correlation between the temporal information processing within a brain and the scalp brain activities such as ERPs, rhythmic EEGs, etc..
