项目摘要

小学校の高学年を対象として、教科教育カリキュラムに縛られない特別活動の時間もしくは課外活動の時間を利用した、情報能力育成のためのカリキュラムを作成した。作成に当たっては、すべての児童が教育の機会を得られるよう、カリキュラム内容を工夫するとともに、そのカリキュラムに沿った教材パッケージおよび教員用の指導マニュアルを作成して、経験の少ない教師でも取り組めるように工夫した。さらに、研修用のビデオ教材についても試作作品を作成した。カリキュラム内容として本研究で提供するものは、Logo、およびパソコン通信に関するものである。Logoによるカリキュラムは、基本的に、Logoそのものについて基礎的な学習を行う基礎編と、Logoを利用して、問題解決を行う応用編から成る。応用編では、コンピュータの基本的な機能や有効性が体験的に理解できるように、データベースや、作画、作表、シミュレーション、ゲーム等の簡単なプログラムを作成させ、それ等の原理を簡単に理解させるとともに、作成したプログラムを実際の問題解決に利用させるよう、テキストを構成した。作成した教材は、実際に小学校で利用し、その効果を調査した。また、教員研修用に、指導マニュアルと研修用VTR教材を試作した。パソコン通信に関しては、パブリック・ドメインのソフトウェアとして公開されているBBSホスト・ソフトウェアを利用して、家庭内電話交換器を利用したBBSシステムを作成し、運用実験を行い、それを学校現場で利用するためのマニュアルを作成した。さらに、パソコン通信を利用して効果的に学習することを支援するために、パソコン通信学習の診断・支援システムについて研究を行った。
