项目摘要

本研究は、視覚美術に対する美的感受性の発達段階を明確化し、さらにその発達的知見から美術学習の適時性を実証的に解明することを目的としている。本年度は、昨年度の成果をふまえ、新たに開発した質問紙による調査対象範囲を小学から大学に拡大するとともに、台湾と日本の両国での調査を行い、視覚美術に対する美的感受性の発達の諸特性について、交差文化的な視点を加えて考察を進めた。その結果、発達的な変化の特徴については、小学生における第2段階の優位性、第2段階における生得的要因の影響、思春期における発達の多元化が明らかとなった。(石崎・王,1999)また、台湾と日本の調査結果の比較検討から、Parsonsが主張する発達理論の普遍性が部分的に検証された。しかし、生得的な要因が大きいと考えられる第3段階までの発達における環境要因の影響や、第3段階と第4段階の順序性についてのParsons理論の妥当性を再検討する必要性を指摘した。さらに第4段階の発達に関わる学習の時期については、思春期が適切であるとの見解を示した。(王・石崎,1999)さらに以上の研究成果から美術批評学習における発達的見地からの適時性と方法論を検討し、美的感受性の発達に相応する美術批評学習プログラムのための基本的視点を策定する過程で、思春期の多角的な発達の特性をより分析的に解明することの必要性と、その特性に応じた多角的な美術鑑賞学習の具体化という新たな課題が浮上した。特に、思春期における複数の発達段階の混在状況や、第4段階的な意識から第3段階的な意識に回帰する状況などの詳しい解析は、生得的な要因や環境的な要因への視点とともに類型的な特質への視点を加えた分析と、比較文化的視点から文化における特殊性と発達の普遍性を多角的に検証していくことが必要であり、本研究の今後の課題である。
