本年度(次年度)は、研究目的「(2)分析した看護場面の中から、特徴的な看護場面を抽出し、それに対する看護者の反応を実証的データとして収集する。そのためには、看護者のメタ認知を分析し『共感』をモデル化する」「(3)看護者の『共感』を評価でき、看護実践にフィードバックできる尺度を作成する」について実施した。患者との対人関係に悩む看護者の対応場面7場面をプロセスレコードに再構成してもらい収集した。そしてこの場面を一つずつ分析し一般化した。看護者は患者の不従順な行動を見ると、その理由を知ろうとするよりも、その行動を非難する傾向があることが示唆された。その看護場面を題材に、被験者に患者役・看護者役になってもらいロールプレイを行った。11場面のロールプレイが行われた。被験者にロールプレイの場面を再構成してもらい、その場面で自分が何を考えていたのかをメタ認知によりたどりなおした。「(患者の)気持ちは分かる」という表現を共感の表現だという認識から、看護者個人の共感概念の違いが看護者の共感を妨げる要因となっていることが示唆された(この一部は、第22回日本看護科学学会で発表した)。共感概念に対する看護者の理解のずれが示唆されたため、看護者の共感を評価する尺度として看護者が共感をどのように認識しているかを明らかにする質問紙を考案した。3年課程の看護学校2年生107名を被験者に質問紙を行った。患者の単純な感情を受け止めているだけの反応を共感性が高いと答えており、共感に対する認識にずれがあることを支持する結果であった。今回の調査では、看護者の共感に対する認識の一部は明らかにすることはできたが、看護者が自分の共感性を自己チェックできるような共感性尺度作成までは至らなかった。しかし、看護においては共感の重要性のみが先行し、その中身が十分に理解されないで使用されていることを、実証的に明らかにしたことでこの研究の意義は大きいと考える。
