Reorganization of library and information science education aimed at training information professionals

为提高日本图书情报学专业水平，我们开展了图书情报学成果测试。我们正在尝试将其引入大学的图书情报教育课程，这些大学大多设有短期课程，向学生提供被称为“图书管理员”的图书馆员执照。我们认为，这是一个挑战，要改变它们，使其成为一种强有力的教育绩效评估工具。此外，明确了日语图书情报教育在世界范围内的定位，开发了图书情报教育远程教育系统。

We have developed library and information science achievement test to improve Japanese LIS profession. We are trying to introduce it to the LIS education courses at universities most of which have short-term curricula to provide librarian license called "shisho" with students. We think this is a challenge to change them as a strong assessment tool of educational performances. In addition we made clear the location of Japanese LIS education in the world settings and developed remote educational system of LIS education.
