Print publication:The present concordance of passages permits for the first time a direct comparison of the surviving structures of the original version of the Mokṣopāya with those of the later Yogavāsiṣṭha and the popular Laghu-Yogavāsiṣṭha abridgments. Of particular importance is the possibility, for the first time, of accessing each of the corresponding passages in the Mokṣopāya from the widespread and frequently cited Vulgate as well as from the Laghu-Yogavāsiṣṭha - and vice versa - which enables historical comparison of the wording, message and intention of the original version as well as of the transmitters and epigones.
