项目摘要

「方言認知地図」とは、方言分布に対する一般話者の言語意識を示した地図である。私は、これまで「方言認知地図」に関する様々な研究を行い、資料を収集してきた。そこで、多くの研究者にこの方言認知地図のデータを利用してもらうため、これをインターネット上で公開し、しかも、その地図を表示するための条件を利用者が選択できるようにすることを考えた。「方言認知地図」の集計用プログラムはすでに開発されており、このプログラムに基づいて、HTML形式のユーザーインターフェースを作成し、これが大阪樟蔭女子大学日本語研究センターのホームページに設置されている。これまでは、「方言認知地図」の研究例として、2つのインフォーマント集団による「関西弁」の領域比較、「標準語」の認知領域、近畿地方の中の細分化などの分析がある。さらに、最も「感じのいいことば」と意識されている領域を地図上で表す方法、インフォーマントの地元方言の認知領域からそのアイデンティティを追究する方法、実際の方言境界線と方言認知地図との相違の要因を探る方法、そして2枚の地図の統計学的検定を行い、その結果を地図上に表示する方法などを模索した。今回、PDQを使い、ソウルの中央大学校の任栄哲(イムヨンチュル)副教授と共同で韓国語の方言の認知領域に関する研究を行っており、その成果の一部をインターネットで公開している。そして、利用者が自由に選択して、それぞれの種類の地図が表示されるように、この方言認知地図集のインターネット上での公開は、日本語の方言学に一大貢献を与えるものであると確信している。
