After the Cold War and under the ever growing economic globalization, is the 21stcentury demanding a new governing mechanism? This research intends to make substantial contributions to the comparative study of advanced democracies including Japan in terms of political decision structure. The comparison is developed throughanalysis of major political institutions such as cabinet, parliament, political parties and bureaucracy and the relationship between them. The work also covers the formal aspects as well as informal mechanism of these institutions.

冷战结束后，在经济全球化日益发展的今天，21世纪是否需要一种新的治理机制？本研究的目的是为包括日本在内的发达民主国家的政治决策结构的比较研究做出实质性贡献。通过对内阁、议会、政党和官僚制等主要政治制度及其相互关系的分析，展开了比较研究。这项工作还包括这些机构的正式方面和非正式机制。
