以下の項目の研究調査を完成させた(1) 仏教復興に深く関与した政府諸機関の同定:次の3種類に分類できるタイプ1 仏教管理のみを行う機関(例:宗教局、厦門仏教協会)タイプ2 必要に応じて関係する機関(例:政治協商会議、安全局)タイプ3 寺院と競合する機関(例:文化局、国林局)(2) 仏教コミュニティーにおけるトランスナショナルなリンクの同定:ネットワークは、おもに、寺の継承、僧侶の師父/弟子関係、出身地の3つの基準から作られている。ネットワークが依拠するところは、人間関係、金銭、正当性である。主要ネットワークは次の二つがある。<厦門ー東南アジア>ネット、<満州ー北アメリカ>ネット(3) 共産主義国家における宗教革命の段階の同定:次の3段階に時代区分できる段階1 共産党革命直後:地方の反革命宗教家は弾圧したが、大衆宗教を弾圧するために主要宗教のリーダーを懐柔し利用した。また国際的評価を得るために宗教の一部を温存した。段階2 新社会主義政治システム構築時:宗教をすべて弾圧した。段階3 国家が宗教活動には寛容になるが、官製宗教の養成に努める。それに反対する宗教は地下に潜った活動を行う。
